Rev. Dr. Nobuko Miyake-Stoner
Rev. Dr. Nobuko Miyake-Stoner was born in Hiroshima, Japan. She is a graduate of Hiroshima Jogakuin University and two seminaries in the USA. She became a Christian minister in the United Methodist Church in 1981 and served churches in California and Colorado before becoming the District Superintendent of Metropolitan Denver. From 2005 until her retirement in 2016, she served as senior minister of Harris United Methodist Church in Honolulu, Hawaii. In 2019, she founded House for All in Hiroshima. She received the International Women’s Day Award from Asian-Pacific Americans for Nuclear Awareness, the Award for Distinguished Ministry from the School of Theology at Claremont, CA, and The Trailblazer Award from the American Association of University Women.
